Now you can create your own history by hosting a friend at this special TGJ event. Everyone’s encouraged to bring a non-BTS member to this stellar Stiles and Van Kleek design for a memorable day in southern Georgia.

Ike on Cardiac Hill
After a heart attack in the fall of 1955, president Dwight D. Eisenhower had not yet committed to running for a second term. A week of winter golf at Glen Arven, and a successful climb up the club’s precipitous 18th fairway, convinced Ike that he was fit for another go-round. The rest, as they say, was history.

FAQs
How many spots can I purchase?
Members are permitted to request to purchase one foursome each.
Does my guest have to be a member?
No, not all guests must be active TGJ members. We encourage you to bring a friend who is new to BTS but are also welcome to bring an active member!
Yes, you will be paired with another BTS member at random.
The format is two-person better ball, net and gross. One low score per team will be counted per hole. The scoring system will be Stableford (Double or Worse = -1, Bogey = 0, Par = 1, Birdie = 3, Eagle = 5, Double Eagle = 10). Teams may not win both gross and net categories. In the event they do, gross scores will take priority.
In the afternoon, we will play the course from a new set of tees in an optional skins game ($20 cash) that will pay out both the Net & Gross divisions.
Can I request to be paired with another twosome?
If you have another person or team you’d like to be grouped with, please submit the request on the Guest Details form on the Players Room following your purchase.
Are there handicap / skill requirements?
Players of all skillsets and handicaps are welcome to register. We only ask you are respectful, have fun and keep up with the group ahead of you.
There will be double-bogey max scoring in place.
If you don’t have a handicap, you can register for one with the Broken Tee Society here.
Can I schedule a practice round?
Glen Arven is a private club, but there will potentially be a limited amount of member sponsored spots the day before the event. Please inquire with foster@golfersjournal.com if you are interested.
What is the cancellation policy?
In the event you have questions or need to cancel, please email events@golfersjournal.com. You will be refunded the full amount minus processing fees before April 26, 2023. No refunds will be given after April 26. Replacements will be accepted within the cutoff date.
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and payment plans through Affirm.
