The Big One

Sweetens Cove put them on the map. Overton Park and Inness solidified their reputation. Now Rob Collins and Tad King believe that Landmand, their first 18 hole project, will “blow the tops of peoples’ heads off.” Their words, not ours.

This June, the Broken Tee Society will take over golf’s most anticipated new course for a full day of otherworldly adventures in the Loess Hills of northeast Nebraska.

Uncommon Land

The name “Landmand” comes from the Dutch word for farmer—a nod to the site’s owners. In the club’s yardage guide, Collins writes: “The grandeur & ambition of these strategic holes is a tribute to the otherworldly Loess Hills landscape and the Andersen family who have farmed the land for generations.”

The course sits on a parcel of the land that proved impossible for farming. But as the world is about to discover: It’s perfect for jaw-dropping golf.

What is the event format?

The format is two-person better ball, net and gross. One low score per team will be counted per hole. In the afternoon, we will play the course from a new set of tees in an optional skins game ($20 cash) that will pay out both the Net & Gross divisions.
