Back to Summer CampFor the fifth year running, the Broken Tee Society is taking the ultimate summer vacation. Sand Valley has graciously welcomed hundreds of BTS members over the years—now it’s your turn to plan a midsummer getaway filled with elite golf and vibes. You’ll play every course on property (including Sedge Valley, Tom Doak’s delightfully intimate par 68), try your hand at hickories, send Glow-V1s into the Wisconsin night at The Sandbox and kick back with friends new and old each evening. We’ve added an extra night’s stay this year, allowing for a more relaxed itinerary, optional bonus golf and more time to unwind with your fellow members. Pack up and hit the road—summer camp is calling.

Registration Rules
- You must be a TGJ member to sign up for Sand Valley.
- Members can place reservation requests from January 8 at 9 a.m. ET to January 29 at 9 a.m. ET.
- You may request up to four spots, but all guests must be active TGJ members.
- Singles are encouraged to place reservation requests. Singles will be randomly paired with groups.
- Submitting more than one request will not increase your chances of being chosen. Duplicates will be removed.
- Entries must be paid within 24 hours of receiving the notification email to avoid forfeiting your position in the event.
FAQs
How many spots can I purchase?
You may purchase up to four spots.
If I’m not selected initially, how I do I know where I stand on the waitlist?
A waitlist will be randomly drawn following the initial drawing.
Does my guest have to be a member?
Yes, all guests must be active members. The best way to bring a non-member guest is to gift them a membership.
Yes, almost 50% of event attendees are singles. Bring a friend or come make some new ones. Otherwise, you will be paired with another BTS member at random.
Can I request to be paired with another twosome?
If you have another person or team you’d like to be grouped with, please submit the request on the Guest Details form on the Players Room following your purchase.
Are there handicap / skill requirements?
Players of all skillsets and handicaps are welcome to register. We only ask you are respectful, have fun and keep up with the group ahead of you.
There will be double-bogey max scoring in place.
We require a GHIN or other accredited handicap to participate in the NET division.
What is the cancellation policy?
Pricing is per person. Refunds will be processed once the spot is filled, minus a 5% processing fee. Please email events@golfersjournal.com to request a refund.
Reservation requests: how they work.
There will be a finite number of spots available for TGJ members in a given event. Members can place reservation requests in the allotted time given. During the registration request process, members can simply follow the instructions on screen by selecting the number of guests in their party and entering their information.
Members must be logged in to their account on golfersjournal.com in order to place a request.
The field will be decided via random drawing and those selected will be notified via email or text.
Selected members will have 24 hours from being notified to complete their registration by paying. Failing to pay or notify us will result in loss of spot. All members not selected will automatically be added to the waitlist. Once someone fails to pay, or declines the selection, we will continue to select members at random until the field is filled. There is no order of the waitlist.
Caddies are not included but please remember Sand Valley is a walking-only resort.
Caddies are required on The Lido.
Carts are available with a doctor’s note. Sand Valley still asks that you ride and the caddie drives the cart.
