Though laid across mostly flat ground, Timuquana features subtle versions of Ross’s trademark push-up, back-to-front sloping greens, and has been lauded as one of the finest course routings of his career.

Some 50 years after the club opened, new head professional Bobby Duval began teaching his son the game. Young David took to it, and rose from the fairways of Timuquana to become the No. 1 player in the world and the 2001 Open Champion.
